Aged Barrel Floor Stain: Refinishing Existing Wood Floors
This project focused on the restoration and color enhancement of existing hardwood floors throughout a residential living and kitchen area. Initially, the surfaces were prepared by sanding down the old finish to reveal the natural wood grain. Subsequently, an aged barrel floor stain was applied, which provided a rich, cool-toned brown that complements the blue cabinetry and modern kitchen island. Furthermore, the application was extended to the transitions and steps, ensuring a uniform appearance across the different levels of the home. Consequently, the final result provides a durable, refreshed surface that highlights the wood's organic texture without excessive gloss.
